Nan Goldin - Third Draft

Nan Goldin - Third Draft

This is my third draft of my series on Nan Goldin. These photos, like the other ones, focus on human interactions and emotions. Each photograph is a representation of the relationship between my model (or subject of the photo) and me (the photographer). I had a lot of fun photographing my mom, because she is a Russian Jewish mother, and being so, she has very interesting and various facial expressions. I also had some fun taking pictures of my niece, Nicole who is in the second shot, this particular moment was when I called her, and she turned around and i managed to get the cutest expression. I hope you all enjoy this last draft before I post my final draft.

Personal Project

Personal Project - Landscape

During my Thanksgiving break, I went to my friend Landis' ranch. It is located in the plains of Nevada and the various landscapes there are simply beautiful. While there, I took many interesting nature shots and I played with Black & White and color photos. I hope you all enjoy these pictures, because they were really fun to take.

Nan Goldin - Second Draft

Nan Goldin - Second Draft
These images are a second draft. Some of them you have already seen in the first draft, but I thought they embodied Nan Goldin's work so nicely that I wanted to keep them for this second draft. All of these pictures fit together because you can try and tell what the person is thinking but everyone will have different opinions because they all have a sense of mystery to them. I tried experimenting with the daytime and the nighttime and I posted some of these experiments. Enjoy...

Nan Goldin

Nan Goldin
Nan Goldin was my inspiration for all these photos. She is an amazing photographer that took many candid shots of her closest friends. Each one of her pictures depicts important moment in their lives and fun moments in their lives. I believe that every picture she has taken is a "slice of life" photo, because in all the photographs she has taken, you focus on the whole picture, not just the subject, the person. You focus on the beautiful backgrounds, you focus on the objects the person is dealing with, and you also focus, of course, on the people. These are a few photos I took that represent the style of Nan Goldin in my mind....
